 His Eminence Celebrates Liturgy At St. Peter Church
On Sunday, January 16th His Eminence Archbishop Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Peter Church in Glendora, CA. His Eminence was assisted by Rev. Fr. Yusuf Kallo. Many parishioners attended the Liturgy and His Eminence was happy to see many of the faithful. In his sermon, he expressed his joy in seeing the progress of the church and the many kids in Sunday School. The sermon focused on the various feasts of the Virgin Mary, especially on the Feast of the Virgin Mary and Intercession of seeds. At the conclusion of the sermon, a special award was presented to Jonathan Seber for his outstanding score on the Sunday School Exam. Patricia Allaf and Samy Saar spoke about Jonathan's achievement and then His Eminence presented the "Award of Recognition" to Jonathan, and praised him for his good work.
Following the Liturgy, some choir members led His Eminence to the social hall with the chanting of "To bash-lom." His Eminence was welcomed and in his honor, the church had prepared him lunch and sweets. Many faithful took pictures with His Eminence as he spent time speaking to all the church members. It was a special day for St. Peter Church and the faithful was elated with the visit of His Eminence.
 
 
 
إحتفل نيافة الحبر الجليل
مار إقليميس أوكين قبلان بإقامة الذبيحة الالهية في كنيسة مار بطرس
للسريان الارثوذكس في مدينة جلندورا وذلك يوم الاحد المصادف 16 كانون
الثاني 2011 ، عاونه الاب القس يوسف كلو وعدد من الشمامسة، وكانت الفرحة
غامرة وعامرة في قلوب أبناء الرعية الذين سرّهم وجود راعيهم المفضال فيما
بينهم وهو الاب الساهر على رعايا الابرشية عامةً، ولقد جاء ليتفقدهم كما
يفعل في سائر كنائس الابرشية.
حضر هذا القداس عدد كبير
من أبناء الرعية ولقد عبّر نيافته عن بالغ سروره بحضور هذا العدد الكبير
من المؤمنين كما وتحدث نيافته خلال عِظَته عن السيدة العذراء مريم لبركة
الزرع وبعد الانتهاء من الموعظة قدّم نيافته مكافأة الى جاناثان سَبَر
لتفوقه في إمتحان المدرسة الاحدية. وبالمناسبة تحدث كلٌ من السيدة
باتريشيا علاف وسامي صقر عن إلانجازات التي حصل عليها جاناثان، عندها
قدّم نيافته شهادة تقدير الى جاناثان وأثنى على إجتهاده.
وبعد القداس خرج نيافته من
الكنيسة متوجها الى القاعة بزياحٍ حبروي حيث رتلت جوقة المرتلات (تو
باشلوم روعيو شاريرو) واستقبله أبناء الرعية بفرحٍ وسرور. علماً إن مجلس
الكنيسة وجمعية السيدات كانوا قد هيأوا طعام الغداء لنيافته ولجميع أبناء
الرعية. لقد كان يوماً مميزاً لهذه الرعية التي تباركت بزيارة واهتمام
راعيها.
