IN THE NAME OF THE SELF-EXISTENT SEMPITERNAL OF NECESSARY EXISTENCE THE ALMIGHTY
Ignatius Patriarch of the Holy See of Antioch and all the East Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church
Zakka 1st, Iwas

To our brethren their Eminences the Metropolitans, the esteemed priests, the respected deacons, Boards of Trustees, and all our faithful children in the Archdioceses and Vicariates worldwide, may the divine providence embrace them all by the intercession of the Virgin Mary and all the saints. Amen. We offer our apostolic blessings and benevolent prayers, and say:
In these days, we are anxiously awaiting the feasts of our Lord in flesh while the world is laboring with problems. There were no more need than in these days for people's peace and tranquility. From our esteemed Patriarchal apostolic See in Damascus-Syria we passionately offer all ranks of the clergy and the blessed children of our Syriac Orthodox church, our best felicitations and warm wishes on the occasion of the birth of the Lord of peace and tranquility, asking the Holy and Eternal Newly Born Babe Who willed to be born in flesh from the Virgin, to accompany you on your life journey and fill your hearts with His heavenly peace and enrich your new year of 2012 and bestow His divine blessings upon the Syriac Church and to spread the spirit of His Birth:
Peace, its joy: Hope, and its heart: Love, upon our wounded Middle East countries.
May the blessing of the Lord be with you,ܘܰܐܒܽܘܢ
