 St. Peter welcoming their Eminences
The St. Peter Church Board hosted an evening dinner with their Eminences Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan and Mor Cyril Aphram Karim, and Reverend Fathers Louis Yacoub, Ephrem Adde, Yusuf Kallo, Peter Rouboz, and John Saif. The blessed and wonderful dinner was at Dandana Restaurant in Glendora. There were very vital discussions about the Youth, Jr. Youth, and Sunday School organizations to encourage our American born children to pursue a vocation in priesthood. The importance of the spiritual relationship between the child and priest was also another issue which was addressed, and to further increase a child's knowledge about our church and cultural aspects through various events and activities.
His Eminence Mor Cyril Ephram Karim extended his gratitude to the Church Board for the kind invitation. He then spoke about the commitment and achievement of St. Peter and stressed upon the importance to continue serving God's house with full love and dedication. Vice-president Kerim Allaf spoke on behalf of the Board, welcoming the Eminences and the clergy as well as the goals and progress of the newly acquired church. Kerim also thanked His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan for his leadership and support to the church.
It was a blessed and wonderful evening, as many important topics were discussed as well as many laughs. In concluding the evening, His Eminence Mor Cyril Aphram Karim welcomed and looks forward to seeing everyone at the national North American Adult Convention which will be in New Jersey during the month of July.

استضافت كنيسة مار بطرس في جلندورا كلا من نيافة مار إقليميس أوكين ومار
قوريلوس أفرام كريم والاباء القس لويس يعقوب، القس أفرام عدي، القس يوسف
كلو، القس بطرس ربز والقس جان سيف وذلك في مطعم دندنة. ولقد تطرق السادة
الاحبار لامورٍ كنسية عامة (الشبيبة، الشبيبة الناشئة والمدرسة الأحدية)
بغرض تشجيعهم وتهيئتهم ليكونوا كهنة في الكنيسة وبصورة خاصة للمولودين في
هذه البلاد. وهنا تنبع الاهمية في العلاقة الروحية المميزة ما بين
الاطفال والكاهن وتثقيفهم عن أمور الكنيسة وتقاليدها من خلال مختلف
النشاطات.
وشكر صاحب النيافة مار قوريلوس أفرام كريم دعوة المجلس الملي ومن ثم
تحدث عن التزام المجلس والرعية بما تعهدوا به من تأسيس الكنيسة مثنياً
على همة وغيرة الجميع في هذا الشأن. وبدوره شكر نائب رئيس المجلس السيد
كريم علاف بالنيابة عن المجلس الملي والرعية مرحباً باصحاب النيافة
والآباء الكهنة الافاضل متطرقاً لموضوع شراء الكنيسة لهذه الرعية شاكراً
صاحب النيافة مار اقليميس أوكين على تشجيعه وقيادته الحكيمة.
