 Oriental Orthodox Churches jointly celebrate the Holy Eucharist
On Thursday May 05th, 2011 and according to the annual tradition implemented by the Syriac, Coptic, and Armenian Orthodox churches, their Eminences the Archbishops of the local Orthodox churches celebrated the
joint clergy holy Eucharist at St. Mary’s Coptic Church. The participants were: His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, Archbishop of the Western Archdiocese, his Grace Archbishop Serapion of the Coptic Archdiocese, and his Eminence Moushegh Mardirosian, Archbishop of the Armenian church, assisted by large number of the Archdioceses’ priests.
Prior to service, their Eminences accompanied by a group of priests entered in procession whereby the Coptic clergy sang the Archbishop’s welcome hymn, then all prayed in total humility that the Lord may spread His peace and love throughout the people of the earth, and for a total harmony between the Christians. This was what their Eminences expressed in their sermons to the present clergy.
  
After the conclusion of the Holy Eucharist, Rev. Fr. John
from Coptic church gave a lecture titled: “Joy in tribulation”, in which he borrowed the words of St. Athanasius the apostolic combatant.
 
The clergy also participated, in turn, in reading supplications prepared by the hosting church in English and Arabic. Soon after, his Grace Serapion invited everybody to a “meal of love” where all clergy conversed regarding spiritual matters in our church societies in the migrant country.
  
Then their Eminences bed farewell to the hosting Archbishop asking the Lord for continued spiritual and social success, as well as long life.

الكنائس الارثوذكسية المحلية بإقامة القداس الالهي في كنيسة السيدة
العذراء القبطية، واشترك كل من نيافة الحبر الجليل مار إقليميس أوكين
مطران أبرشية غربي الولايات المتحدة والمطران سرابيون راعي أبرشية
الاقباط والمطران موشيغ مردوريسيان مطران الكنيسة الأرمنية، كما واشترك
عدد كبير من كهنة هذه الكنائس في هذا القداس.
 
وكان قد سبق ذلك دخول السادة المطارنة مع لفيف الآباء الكهنة بزياح حبروي
رتل فيه كهنة الكنائس القبطية انشودة الترحيب باحبار الكنيسة ومن ثم صلى
الجميع وبخشوع كلي لنشر السلام والوئام بين شعوب الارض والمحبة والتفاهم
بين المسيحيين وهذا ما عبّر عنه السادة المطارنة في كلماتهم التي وجهوها
على الآباء الكهنة الحاضرين.
وبعد الانتهاء من القداس الالهي القى الأب الفاضل جان أحد كهنة الكنيسة
القبطية محاضرة باسم "الفرح في الضيق" مقتبساً أقوال مار أثناسيوس
المجاهد الرسولي .
هذا وقد اشترك الآباء الكهنة كل بدوره في قراءة التضرعات المرتبة من
الكنيسة المضيفة وباللغتين الانكليزية والعربية، بعدها دعا سيادة المطران
سرابيون جميع الحضور لتناول طعام المحبة حيث جرت احاديث عامة بين الآباء
الكهنة بما يخص مجريات الاحداث الروحية في مجتمعاتنا الكنسية في بلاد
المهجر.
ثم ودَّع السادة المطارنة نيافة المطران المضيف داعين لنيافته إطراد
النجاحات الروحية والاجتماعية وبالعمر المديد.
