Gala Party of

St. Peter the Apostle, San Dimas

St. Peter Church held its first Gala Party on Sunday, June 26th at Via Verde Country Club. We were blessed with the presence of His Eminence Archbishop Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, Rev. Fr. Yusuf Kallo, and many faithful parishioners.

The guest of honor, Mr. Jack Chammas, was awarded with a Recognition plaque for his time, dedication, and assistance towards the purchase of St. Peter Church in San Dimas. We extend our great gratitude to Jack for being with us to celebrate the great achievements St. Peter Church has accomplished within the past year. We also extend our gratitude to St. Elias Church Board for attending the party, and in sharing the beautiful evening with us.

Yusuf Saliba, and his keyboardist, Fikri Sarisin, who both came from Germany, donated their services to provide the great entertainment as a donation to the church. Yusuf sang in Syriac, Turkish, and Arabic and everyone had a really great time. Gary Markos was a great DJ and played a variety of songs, and we also thank him for his time.

St. Peter Party was a great success, and we thank everyone who attended. We look forward to future events, and everyone gathering together.

The Western Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch, providing spiritual guidance and leadership to the Syriac Orthodox community, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization comprised of 10 churches and parishes in 17 western states. It was established in 1952 as the Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church encompassing the entire United States and Canada. In November 1995 by the Holy Synod, the Western Archdiocese was formed to exclusively serve the 17 states of the western half United States.
