 اجتماع كهنة الكنائس المحلية لأبرشية غربي الولايات المتحدة
عُقد في ساندياجو في 30 آب 2011 الاجتماع الشهري السادس لكهنة الكنائس المحلية لابرشية غربي الولايات المتحدة الامريكية ولقد استضافت هذا الاجتماع كنيسة القديس مار توما وكاهنها الفاضل الاب فادي يوسف عطو. حضر الاجتماع
معظم آباء الكنيسة وتغيب عنها لاسباب هامة كلٌ من الاب الراهب افرام طحان كاهن كنيسة مار يوحنا في لاس فيجاس والاب افرام عدا.
إفتتح نيافة الحبر الجليل مار
اقليميس أوجين هذا الاجتماع كالعادة بصلاة خاصة وأدعية ليوفق الرب رعاة الكنيسة في مهماتهم الروحية والاجتماعية لخدمة أبناء الكنيسة
أينما كانوا بكل تواضع ومحبة.
وكان جدول الاجتماع مهيئا وهاما بموضوعاته، وقرأ الكاهن المضيف الاب يوسف عطو الاصحاح السابع من بشارة لوقا من رقم 36-50 وشرح أبوته ما جاء في هذا الاصحاح من معانٍ في الايمان وفهم وصايا الرب شارحاً دور المرأة قبل وفي أيام السيد المسيح والمفهوم الجديد الذي أعطاه أياها يسوع في تعليمه، فالمرأة الخاطئة لم يكن لها إسماً إلا المرأة الخاطئة. وانكر عليها الناموس والمجتمع كافة حقوقها. وعلَّق نيافته على هذا الاصحاح بأن مريم الخاطئة هي غير المجدلية واسم مريم مكرر كثيراً في الانجيل. ونرى في أحداثٍ كثيرة بأن الانسان قد يقع في مصائب ومصاعب ولكن يخيل للبعض أن الله لا يسمع او بأنه يهمل خائفيه وحسبما قالت آباء الكنيسة بأن السبب في هذا التأخير هو خطايانا الكثيرة لكن مراحم الله تأتي وتساعد وتغفر للانسان .
هنأ نيافته كاهن ورعية كنيسة مار جرجس بإفتتاح المدرسة الاحدية وشراء بيتين مجاورَين للكنيسة أحدهما تحت تصرف المدرسة الاحدية. كما وتحدد أن يكون إجتماع الكهنة القادم بتاريخ 25 تشرين الاول في كنيسة مار بطرس في جلندورا، وتقرر أن يكون عيدي الصليب وميلاد السيدة العذراء في يومٍ واحدٍ بتاريخ 11 أيلول. أما بالنسبة الى أسبوع الكتاب المقدس فلقد طلب نيافته من الآباء الكهنة الاستعداد كلٌ في كنيسته لهذا البرنامج الهام ليكون نافذاً في الفترة ما بين أحدي (تقديس الكنيسة وتجديدها).
طلب نيافته من الآباء طرح
أسئلتهم وكانت ذات فائدة للجميع حيث أجاب نيافته عليها بروح عالية من المحبة وكان جُلُّها عن الأصوام والأعياد
وتوضيح أوضاع بعض الكنائس. ولقد نبه نيافته بعدم إعطاء شهادات معمودية، زواج أو مطلق حال وانما للمطرانية فقط حق إعطاؤها، كما وطلب نيافته من الكهنة تشجيع المؤمنين في التبرع والمساهمة في طباعة واخراج مجلة (ܣܒܪܐ) سابرو.
ولقد دعا الاب فادي يوسف بدعوة نيافة المطران والاباء الكهنة الى مائدة الطعام المقدمة من الكنيسة المضيفة وكان فيها كل ما لذ وطاب ولقد شكر نيافته والاباء الكهنة كاهن ومجلس ورعية الكنيسة المضيفة مار توما الرسول .

Monthly Clergy Meeting of the U.S. Western
Archdiocese
Tuesday August 30, 2011
On Tuesday,
August 30th the Western Archdiocese held its local Clergy
Monthly Meeting at St. Thomas Church, El Cajon, CA.
His
Eminence Archbishop Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan presided over the meeting
and the attending clergy were: Very Rev. Fr. Abdulahad Shara, Rev. Fr.
George Touma, Rev. Fr. Louis Yacoub, Rev. Fr. Yusuf Kallo, Rev. Fr.
Mtanous Askar, Rev. Fr. Peter Rouboz, Rev. Fr. John Saif, and Rev. Fr.
Fadi Yousif who hosted the Clergy Meeting, Very
Fr.
Aphrem Tahhan priest of St. John church of Las Vegas, and Rev. Fr.
Ephrem Adde were absent for important reasons.
His
Eminence opened the meeting with prayer. Rev. Fr. Fadi Atto then read
from the Gospel according St. Luke 7:36-50, and
explained the meaning, faith and
understanding of the commandments of the Lord, and the role of women
in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. in which our Lord Lord
Jesus Christ accepted women as disciples and followers.
His Eminence
congratulated Rev. Fr. Peter Rouboz, the Parish Council, and the
faithful of St. George for re-opening the Sunday School Program, and
the purchase of two houses adjacent to the church: one of which will
be used for the Sunday School classes.
During the period between the
Sanctification and Renewal Sunday His Eminence asked the priests to
prepare special and effective programs which will focus on the Holy
Bible. It was also decided that the Birthday of the Virgin Mary and
the Discovery the Cross Day will be held on September 11th.
His Eminence then proceeded by answering
theological questions the Rev. Fathers had on various matters such as:
Feasts, Lenten periods, and clarification on the situation of some
churches in the Archdiocese. Furthermore, His Eminence cautioned and
advised the priests to give certificates of baptism, marriage, or
personal status only through the Archdiocese office. His Eminence also
asked that each priest encourage their parishioners to donate and
contribute to Sabro, the Archdiocesan Bulletin.
Lunch
was then served for all attendees, and it was graciously donated by
St. Thomas Church. After lunch the clergy continued their agenda.
The meeting concluded with final remarks
and prayers made by His Eminence. We extend our gratitude to St.
Thomas Church for hosting the meeting.
The following
Clergy meeting will be held in junction with the Sunday School
Teachers retreat at St. Ephraim Cathedral on Saturday, September 24th
2011.
