Proud people are so proud about their supposed humility that they won't seek any help.
Pride can be blinding. It is possible to become so prideful and haughty that a person does not even recognize his or her own pride.

Such pride leads to disgrace: When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom (Proverbs 11:2).

Likewise, someone who is prideful thinks that he o...More

A prayer solemn
I offer this Memorial Day:
It is for our valiant Veterans
I do humbly pray.

Selfless, sacrificial,
Risking death gallantly -
Soldiers do all this
To ensure I am free.

So many have died
There on the battleground;
No music then to comfort,
Simply gun blasts all around.

So many names and faces
That I will never know;
So many stories of bravery
In warring winds did blow.

Grateful a...More

Colossians 3:12-14 says, “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these t...More

In Acts 1 Jesus is saying goodbye to His disciples…for 3.5 years they have been intimately intertwined, through good times and bad! He had changed their lives! They would never be the same.

They spent 40 incredible days together after He arose…and now it’s time to say goodbye, He’s leaving, He’s going home…and He tells them to do His work in the meanwhile (v. 8) He has given them His great commission, to go into a...More

"And of His fullness
have all we received,
and grace for grace."
John 1:16

Thinking of You,
I feel my heart sing,
I embrace the goodness
Your grace does bring.

Within and outside,
Here and all around,
Surely Your sweet graces
To me do abound.

They pave my path,
Carving the way for me;
Yes, Your sweet graces
Lead to eternity.

They sing in the ...More
