With great sorrow His Holiness Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, through his letter to their Eminences informed that His Eminence Mor Severius Ishak Saka (age 80), the Patriarchal Vicar who was in charge for the Higher Studies & Research in Syriac, entered the eternal life at a hospital in Baghdaida (Qarakosh) on Monday, December 19th, 2011. His Eminence was admitted to the hospital due to a prolonged illness.
