His Beatitude Maphryono Mor Baselius Thomas I, in LAAugust,18 2016Thursday August 18, 2016, His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan paid a visit to His Beatitude Maphryono Mor Baselius Thomas I, Catholicos of India, which accompanied by His Eminence Mor Titos Yeldo, Archbishop of the Malankara Archdiocese of Northern America, at Virgin Mary Malankara Church, Whittier, CA.
His Eminence Mor Clemis after praying at the church met His Beatitude and discussed the situation of our Syriac Orthodox Church in India and together wished a long life for the priest of Virgin Mary very Rev. Father Thomas Sabu and his wife for 30th Wedding Anniversary. His Eminence offered his good wishes of best spiritual and physical life, and offered his gifts for the couple.
A luncheon hosted at home of a member of the Parish Council of the church.

The Western Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch,
providing spiritual guidance and leadership to the Syriac Orthodox
community, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization
comprised of 18 churches and parishes in 17 western states. It was
established in 1952 as the Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church
encompassing the entire United States and Canada. In November 1995 by
the Holy Synod, the Western Archdiocese was formed to exclusively
serve the 17 states of the western half United States.
