Pray for the effected families in Kerala

Dearly beloved in Christ;

May the grace, blessings, peace, and love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Our beloved church, clergy and faithful, in Kerala are amid an unprecedented flood havoc and catastrophe. The calamity has caused immeasurable misery and devastation. Many lives were lost. Hundreds of homes were totally destroyed and many more were damaged.

As Christian caring of our beloved faithful of our Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch, it is our responsibility and duty to ease the pains of our brethren and help the affected rebuild their lives. The path to recovery can be long and arduous, but you can make a difference by joining the rebuilding efforts of their spirits by extending a helping hand through loving Christian generous contributions.
We believe that our Lord will use beloved members of His sacred Body, you good faithful, as instruments to relief the effected souls.

We request all our Faithful in all our Western Archdiocese churches to hold special prayers these coming two Sundays and open the door of contribution for two consecutive Sundays and take a special collection along with the offertory and send it to our Archdiocesan office before the 15th of September 2018. It is also advisable to add a contribution from the parish fund. This contribution will be sent to our church in Kerala through the official channel. We urge you all to make a generous financial contribution for this noble and much urgent cause.

May the Lord shower upon you all His blessings, and reward you abundantly, and may His grace be with you.
