Consecration of St. Thomas Church in El Cajon

“LORD, I have loved the habitation of Your house and the place where Your glory dwells.” (Psalm 26:8)

By the Grace of God and the Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ, St. Thomas the Apostle Syriac Orthodox Church has acquired a building of its own as a place of worship. After the renovation of the building to fit to be according to the Syriac Orthodox church, and upon the request of His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, the Archbishop of the Western Archdiocese USA, on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 5 pm. His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, assisted by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, Patriarchal Vicar for the Archdiocese of Western USA, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, with attendances of many churches, consecrated the newly purchased St. Thomas the Apostle Church in El Cajon, California.

Following the consecration prayers, all attendees gathered with the joy of the event, congratulating His Eminence Archbishop of the Archdiocese, the priest, the responsible parish council, and the faithful of St. Thomas church on this beautiful and blessed occasion.
