His Eminence paid pastoral visit to St. Thomas the Apostle
Church – San Jose
The new
Parish Council members of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, San Jose
On the occasion of Saint Thomas the Apostle Day, His
Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St.
Thomas the Apostle church, in San Jose on
Sunday June 30, 2013. His Eminence also celebrated the feast of St.
Peter and St. Paul the Apostles, and was assisted by the very Rev. Fr.
Yuhanna Salamah the priest of the church and Rev. Fr. Abdulmasih Abdo,
priest of St. Behnam the Martyr congregation in Sacramento.
In his sermon His Eminence spoke about the life of the
apostles and listed the hardships they experienced which culminated in
their martyrdom….he then explained how the saints kept their
membership and faith with the body of Christ (Church) through all
their sufferings, and how people in today's world can learn from the
lives of these saints. That we should be patient with our own
adversities and tribulations. His Eminence asked the Lord to prolong
the life of His Holiness, the successor of Saint Peter the Apostle,
and denounced the kidnapping of the two archbishops of Aleppo and
demanded their release and asked the Lord to protect them spiritually
and physically and to return them safely to their Archdioceses. At the
conclusion, His Eminence praised the faithful and asked them to
nominate themselves to serve the church of Saint Thomas the Apostle in
the Parish Council.
Following the Divine Liturgy the following members
were confirmed
as members in the Parish Council:
Sabrina Hoady, Maria Hakko Hamamjy,
Issa Aho, Danny Hoady, Zaid Mawla, and Radhwan Yaqoob.
His
Eminence appreciated the zeal, love and care of the old parish council
members and asked the Lord to reward them abundantly and keep them and
their families in good health and bestow upon them a prosperous life.
Then extended his blessing and congratulations to the members of the
new Parish Council and urged them to work in love and harmony for the
continual growth and progress of our St. Thomas the Apostle church.
Then
everyone went to lunch which was provided by the church in honor of
His Eminence. In conclusion, everyone enjoyed the day which was
blessed with spiritual joy.
الزيارة الرعوية لنيافة المطران الى كنيسة مار توما
ــــ سان هوزي
احتفل نيافة الحبر الجليل

بإقامة الذبيحة الالهية على مذبح كنيسة مار توما الرسول في سان هوزي
بمناسبة تذكار مار توما الرسول الذي يصادف الثالث من تموز و بعيدَي
الرسولَين مار بطرس ومار بولس. يعاونه الربان يوحنا سلامه كاهن الكنيسة
والأب عبدالمسيح عبدو كاهن كنيسة مار بهنام الشهيد في سكرمنتو وتخدمه
الشمامسة.
إرتجل نيافته خلال القداس
الإلهي كلمةً قيمة بالانكليزية عن حياة الرسل معدداً الضيقات التي مرّ
بها الرسل وانهوا حياتهم الارضية بالشهادة. كما وتطرق نيافته عن مرحلة
مسيرة المؤمن الزمنية، حيث يتوجب عليه أن يحافظ على اتحاده بجسد المسيح
بالصبر على تحمُّل أنواع الشدائد والضيقات حتى بذل النفس من أجلها...
ودعا نيافته بالعمر المديد
لصاحب القداسة خليفة مار بطرس الرسول مار اغناطيوس زكا الاول عيواص،
واستنكر خطف مطرانَي حلب مشدداً على وجوب إطلاق سراحهما. سائلاً الرب أن
يحميهما ويرجعهما الى مقرَّيهما سالمَين. كما وأثنى
نيافته على همة راعي الكنيسة الربان سلامه الذي يحاول جهده جمع المؤمنين
تحت راية الكنيسة مصليا ليوفقه الرب في أداء رسالته الكهنوتية. كما وبارك
الشمامسة وحثهم على الاستمرار في خدمة المذبح.
ونظراً لحاجة الكنيسة الى
مجلس ملي جديد فقد طلب نيافته من المؤمنين ممن يرغب وعنده متسعاً من
الوقت ليخدم كنيسة مار توما الرسول التقدم لهذا الواجب المبارك.
وفي خلال القداس توجّه
نيافته والكاهنَين والشمامسة الى حيث مقر ذخيرة مار توما الرسول فأخرجها
نيافته من مكانها بالتراتيل مباركاً المؤمنين بها.
وبعد الانتهاء من القداس الإلهي جلس نيافته أمام مذبح الكنيسة وطلب ممن
يرغب من المؤمنين أن يرشحوا أنفسهم لخدمة الرب من خلال العضوية في المجلس
الملي، فتقدم كلٌ من السيدات والسادة:
سابرينا حودي، ماريا حقو
حمامجي، عيسى آحو، داني حودي، زياد مولى، ورضوان يعقوب.
ولقد أثلج قلوب المؤمنين
هذا الاندفاع لخدمة الكنيسة. فهنأ نيافته المجلس الملي الجديد مباركاً
إياهم وطالباً من الرب أن يكلّل أعمالهم بالنجاح المطرَّد، وشكر المجلس
الملي القديم داعياً من الرب أن يكافئهم ويكللهم بالصحة والتوفيق بحياتهم
العائلية.
وانتهى هذا اللقاء الروحي بطعام الغداء الذي قدمته الكنيسة على شرف
نيافته وقد عَلَت آيات الفرح والإمتنان وجوه الجميع.
